Fulton: Bridge closure; Cheshire Bridge Rd at Faulkner Rd with all lanes closed This is a 511 Georgia travel alert. All lanes are blocked Cheshire Bridge Rd at Faulkner Rd due to bridge damage in Fulton County.  Emergency responders are working to reopen the lanes as safely as possible. Motorist are strongly encouraged to avoid this area and seek an alternate route to avoid extreme delays. 90 Day Closure of N Druid Hills Rd. Bridge

Georgia DOT will begin the 90-day bridge closure and detour of the North Druid Hills Road bridge over North Fork Peachtree Creek on Friday, April 26 at 9 p.m.


Traffic pattern changes will include:

  • One lane in each direction leading up to the bridge.
  • Traffic at North Druid Hills Road and the West Druid Hills Drive intersection will be managed using stop signs.  
  • One right lane will close on I-85 southbound Frontage Road from National Data Plaza to SR 42/North Druid Hills Road (leaving 3 lanes open)

Traffic Alert - Downtown Atlanta - This Weekend May 18-19 Please be advised to avoid downtown area due to several events taking place today. Traffic congestion is expected to be heavy, and parking availability will be limited. Your safety and convenience are our top priorities, so we recommend using alternative routes to reach your destination.
Plan ahead and consider using public transportation or carpooling to reduce traffic volume. If you must travel through downtown, please exercise caution, follow detour signs, and be mindful of pedestrians and event participants.
