You are under no obligation to provide any personal information to the My511 Services. There is no charge for you to register for or to use the My511 Services.

We receive and store any information you voluntarily enter during the My511 Services registration process. You may choose not to provide certain information, but doing so might impact your ability to take full advantage of the features the My511 Services offers, such as customized routes, responding to personalized requests and customization of future enhancements.

Automatically Collected Information

When you browse or download information from the website, limited amounts of standard information for web traffic monitoring and statistical purposes are collected. The information is analyzed for operational trends, performance, and for ways to improve our service. Only aggregated information is collected and personal information, whether from a My511 Services registered user or non-registered user, will not be identifiable

Information that may be collected from My511 Services registered users and non-registered users include:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of the computers being used to access our site
  • Operating systems and the types and versions of browsers used to access our site
  • Internet Service Providers used by visitors to our site
  • Dates and times of site access

  • Names and sizes of files requested 

As a general practice, we make no attempt to link this information with the identity of individuals visiting our site.

Use, Security, and Disclosure

We use the personal information you voluntarily provide during the My511 Services registration process to provide you with a personalized experience, and to improve the My511 Services.

If you choose to register for My511 Services, we will keep track only of the information and preferences that you choose to provide to us. The GA511 website’s vendor will store the information securely on its system. You will be asked to create a user name and a password, which you will need to access your personal information on all visits to the GA511 website or the mobile applications.  All registered user data for My511Services is managed centrally through the GA511 website, which is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The mobile application does not maintain any registered user data.  When a registered user logs in to My511 Services through the mobile application, the application will access the GA511 website API’s to authenticate the user.

Any personal information you give us will only be used for the purpose of administering My511 Services and conducting GA511 website evaluations, including the use of surveys or questionnaires by the us or our partners. You will not be placed on any mailing lists. Your personal information will not be shared, rented, sold, or otherwise released to any third party without your prior consent, unless required by law.

Retention

The GA511 website retains the personal information that you provide for as long as necessary to fulfil the administration of My511 Services. If you decide to delete your My511 Services account, the GA511 website will no longer retain your information.

Georgia Department of Transportation/Georgia 511 Logo Use

Registered and non-registered users of the GA511 website and My511 Services are not permitted to modify, duplicate, or otherwise use the Georgia Department of Transportation and the Georgia 511 trademarks or logos in any manner without prior written permission. Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law and when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or legal process served on our website.

Google Location Services

This service is used to identify start and end points while determining route information. You maintain control of location services by controlling your browser and mobile settings. At no time does the GA511 website collect or store active route information. Please refer to the Googles Privacy Policy for further information on this service.

Access and Correction

The GA511 website provides the ability for My511 Services registered users to correct and/or delete their own information online through the Manage Account tool within My511 Services. Individuals also have a right to access their personal information that is held within the GA511 website system.

Privacy Statement Changes

We will use personal information in accordance with the Privacy Statement in effect at the time the information was collected. Registered Users of the My511 Services will be notified of any changes to this Privacy Statement using the email address on file.  If at some point we would like to start using your personal information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will first seek your consent.
